Get ready to party. Moonjumpers Charitable Foundation and the Huntington chapter of the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians are co-sponsoring a fundraising party at Finley's of Greene Street in Huntington Village on Wednesday, September 26 from 7-10 p.m. Peter Mazzeo & The Hit Squad will be rocking the house.

Tickets can be purchased at the door for $40 or through the Moonjumpers website at www.moonjumpers.org or by calling Patricia A. Grant (631-987-7629) or MJ Fitzgerald (516-848-6945). A ticket entitles the bearer to a selection of beer and wine along with a buffet dinner consisting of house salad, chicken francese, penne a la vodka, rice and vegetables, bread and rolls.

"With food, music and dancing, it's going to be a great party," said Peter Mazzeo, Moonjumpers' president and The Hit Squad's frontman. "Moonjumpers is very happy to be teaming up with the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians to co-sponsor this event. It will be a fun night out for everyone and will help us continue to provide assistance to community members in need."

Moonjumpers supports initiatives designed to improve the quality of life of children and families, injured war veterans and others in need. In its first year, Moonjumpers contributed thousands of dollars to purchase Christmas and holiday toys for underprivileged youth in Huntington, donated more than 100 prom dresses and designer shoes to help those in need, collected over 300 warm winter jackets to assist the homeless and those struggling financially, gathered 300 pounds of food and $350 in donations for The Refuge in East Northport, donated a computer and snacks to Tri-CYA for its after school programs and helped paint the Tri-CYA facility and raised money for the Children's Organ Transplant Association with proceeds from earmarked to help a local high school graduate who has battled serious illness over the past year.

The Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians practices friendship, unity and charity. It provides support to Huntington's food pantries and for programs that assist battered and abused woman and children. The active and energetic group meets the first Wednesday of each month at 7 p.m. at the VFW Hall on Pulaksi Road in Huntington Station. New members are welcome.

Community Day at the Tri CYA complex saw Moonjumpers officials, players from Hank's Yanks and a dozen National Grid employee volunteers painting the lobby, hallways and a large activity room as well as hanging bulletin boards over a four hour period.
