Moonjumpers Support Huntington Historical Society
On September 26th, the Moonjumpers community came together to support the Huntington Historical Society at the beautiful Conklin Barn, marking another successful collaboration dedicated to preserving our local history. This special event not only highlighted the importance of community engagement but also showcased the critical efforts made to maintain the Kissam House.
The Huntington Historical Society took this opportunity to honor Patricia DelCol during their annual Evening Under the Stars fundraiser. As a dedicated municipal market director for H2m architects and engineers, Patricia has made significant contributions to the Huntington community, serving in various capacities within the town government. Her leadership and commitment to public service were recognized by elected officials, nonprofit leaders, and community members who gathered at the historic Kissam House on Park Avenue for this special evening.
The day of service at the Kissam House was particularly impactful, with Moonjumpers leading the charge in a community day focused on preservation efforts. Volunteers from various organizations, including local businesses, came together to rejuvenate the historic property. Tasks ranged from landscaping to painting, ensuring that the Kissam House is well-prepared to welcome future visitors.
The Huntington Historical Society expressed heartfelt gratitude for the support, emphasizing how these efforts significantly reduce the fundraising needed to maintain such important historical sites.
The collaborative spirit shown by Moonjumpers and community members demonstrates the power of collective action in preserving our local heritage. We invite everyone to continue supporting such initiatives, as every bit of help counts toward maintaining our historical treasures.
