Fighting Hunger: Moonjumpers Hosts Thanksgiving Food Drive for Tri-CYA

As the season of gratitude approached, the Moonjumpers Foundation set out to make a meaningful impact by hosting a Thanksgiving food drive for the Tri-Community and Youth Agency (Tri-CYA). With the support of our incredible community, we collected non-perishable food items to ensure families in need could enjoy a hearty holiday meal.
The Tri-CYA plays a vital role in supporting local families year-round, and their Thanksgiving food drive is essential to combat hunger during the holiday season. For many families in our area, the holidays can bring financial strain, making it difficult to put food on the table. Moonjumpers is proud to partner with Tri-CYA to address this challenge, one donation at a time.
Our food drive focused on collecting a variety of pantry staples, including canned vegetables, stuffing mix, pasta, sauces, soups, and gift cards. These essential items will help provide families with everything they need to create a warm and festive meal to celebrate Thanksgiving.
Thanks to our donors’ generosity, we could contribute several boxes of food to the Tri-CYA just in time for the holiday. Every can, box, and bag donated brought us closer to ensuring that no family in our community went without during this season of giving.
At Moonjumpers, we believe in the power of community to uplift and support one another. The success of this food drive highlights the kindness and compassion that define our neighbors. Whether you donated food, volunteered your time, or helped spread the word, your contributions made a real difference.
As we reflect on the importance of giving back, we’re reminded that hunger is not just a seasonal issue—it’s a challenge many families face year-round. Initiatives like this food drive are a crucial step toward addressing this need, and we’re honored to partner with organizations like Tri-CYA that work tirelessly to support our community.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who participated in the Thanksgiving food drive and helped bring comfort and nourishment to families in Huntington. Your generosity embodies the true spirit of Thanksgiving and reminds us all of the importance of caring for one another.
As we gather around our tables this holiday season, let’s continue to think of those in need and seek out ways to make a difference in their lives. Together, we can ensure that no family feels forgotten or hungry, not just during Thanksgiving, but throughout the year.
